With over 15 years of experience as a dedicated board-certified nurse practitioner, I specialize in obesity, weight management, and metabolic health, helping patients achieve healthier lives through evidence-based care and personalized treatment plans. My mission is to empower individuals to take control of their health by addressing not only the physical aspects of weight management, and metabolic health but also the emotional, psychological, and lifestyle factors that contribute to long-term success.
Over the past 15 years, I have worked in diverse clinical settings, including in person and virtual primary care clinics, bariatric, and weight management programs. My experience has given me a deep understanding of the complexities of obesity and its related health conditions, such as diabetes, hypertension, hyperlipidemia, and metabolic syndrome. I have successfully guided countless patients on their journey to improved health through tailored approaches to weight loss, maintenance, and overall wellness.

Management of Obesity-Related Metabolic Chronic Conditions

These conditions often share a common root in metabolic dysfunction and require a comprehensive, multidisciplinary approach for effective management.
  • Key Components of management include lifestyle modification, dietary changes, improvement of physical activity, and strategies that improve behavioral interventions.
  • Pharmacologic and Non-Pharmacologic Strategies including condition-specific medications such as antihypertensives for blood pressure management, statin or fibrates for dyslipidemia, and glucose lowering therapies for prediabetes & type 2 diabetes.
